Whitestown, Indiana
Located about 20 miles outside of Indianapolis, Whitestown, Indiana is one of the smallest towns in the Midwest, with a population of less than 500. Over the next several years, however, the fledgling town will become a city with the addition of a new community called Anson.
Named after Boone County historical figure Anson Mills, the new development will be home to several new Indiana businesses, including home improvement giant Lowes and chain superstore Meijer, as well as several residential areas and office, retail, and healthcare developments. Anson will be considered a part of Whitestown and will eventually make up the bulk of Boone County jobs, with a projected estimate of 25,000 employees being recruited in the next 10-15 years.
